Property Tax Bills Across Orefield, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania
Property tax bills in Orefield are based on the assessed value of a home, which is the amount local taxing authorities use to calculate what a homeowner owes. That assessed value is then multiplied by the applicable tax rates set by county, school district, and other local governments. Because these rates can vary, two homes with similar market values may still have different tax bills.
For homeowners, the size of the bill depends on both the home’s assessed value and the local tax rates in Lehigh County. With a median home price of $255,800, property taxes can still be substantial, especially for homes with higher assessed values or in areas with higher rates. The tax bill directly affects monthly housing costs and long-term affordability, making it an important part of homeownership planning. In Orefield, property tax bills often reflect how local budgets are funded, so changes in assessment or tax rates can have a noticeable impact on what homeowners pay each year.
